The old Benmar 14 on Orient Express, a 32' Grand Banks woodie is giving up the ghost. I'm going to remove it and send it in for a repair estimate, but my partners have given me the go-ahead to replace it! Now I'm looking at websites and brochures trying to figure out what's what with all the different brands and models out there. The only real reason I'd have to replace the Benmar if it is repairable is to get a unit that will steer a GPS course, but then the only other a/p I've ever had was the Benmar Coursesetter 21 on my sailboat.
