We are doing GREAT everybody!  Keep 'em coming!  The more the merrier!

Thank you so, so much.

It's a great section, you know, otherwise I'd never hawk it quite so shamelessly.  :)

Having facebooked an add for the section, it struck me that we don't
seem to have a Facebook group. For the sociologist of the Internet,
aren't we behind the times here?

I did even find ASA page on Fbook:

... and it seems to be alive, even :)

I suggest creating a page instead of a group at this time, since pages
currently get better integration into the Feed and groups tend to die out
due to the general lack of visibility.

I'm frankly amazed ASA has a page. The fact that they're at asanet.org makes
me believe the ASA doesn't "get" the Internets. The atrocity they call a web
site just reinforces my opinion.

Now that I've emerged from lurk mode I guess I should renew my ASA
membership and help the CITASA push to 400. :)

Creating a FB page on my list (as newly appointed section communication
officer) of things to do.

In the next day or so I'll send out an email asking people what they would
find useful in terms of section communication and with a few ideas/questions
that arose during ASA, but in the meantime, please feel free to email me
directly with ideas/wishes/hopes.

Actually, I created a Facebook group for CITASA a couple years ago. I just
searched for it, and it comes up as a group - there are 45 members.

Nalini, I'd be happy to pass this over to you.

Seems something has changed, I just noticed that the front page of ASA
(http://www.asanet.org/) has links not only to Facebook, but Blogger,
Twitter and YouTube, too. Mind you, the frequency of updates (~1 per
month) leaves something to be desired, but still...

I am surprised that this mini-revolution seems to be happening without
us...? Do we know who is responsible for updating the main ASA website,
posting on Fbook, tweeting and putting up those videos on the Tube?
