Hi everyone, Education-related changes made on day one of the Biden administration: * The DOE has extended through "at least" September 30<https://twitter.com/FAFSA/status/1352043256322863105> the existing pause on student loan payments and interest on federal student loans. * The President reversed the previous administration's executive order that excluded undocumented immigrants from the census reapportionment count. * Protect "Dreamers<https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2021/01/20/preserving-and-fortifying-deferred-action-for-childhood-arrivals-daca/>," the 700,000 people who were brought into the country as children and applied for temporary relief from deportation under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. * Reinstating protections<https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2021/01/20/executive-order-preventing-and-combating-discrimination-on-basis-of-gender-identity-or-sexual-orientation/> to prevent discrimination on the basis of gender identity of sexual orientation, including under Title IX. This also impacts policies regarding access to school facilities and teams.
