Tacoma Community Stewards Campaign Kick-off Party
Thursday May 28, 6:30-8:30pm at The Hub in Tacoma.

Join the Tacoma Community Stewardshttp://whatcounts.com/t?r=959&c=1704377&l=70563&ctl=242C2E4:FB7F98185DFD1AB7FA1F8F0A6EC40CE6AE6EBD90D13F47F5& at The Hubhttp://whatcounts.com/t?r=959&c=1704377&l=70563&ctl=242C2E1:FB7F98185DFD1AB7FA1F8F0A6EC40CE6AE6EBD90D13F47F5& in the Gallery and Event Room for a kick-off party celebrating three brand-new campaigns that will change the face of Tacoma for years to come. Come for good food, great drinks and to learn about campaigns your neighbors have developed to:

  • Turn surplus city property into community gardens and parks
  • Link disconnected bike trails and walking paths into and through Tacoma
  • Transform the Dome District into a vibrant, walkable and livable community

Campaign leaders will present their research and plans and show how you can get involved to make the change you want to see in Tacoma.
Also:

  • Connect with other people and organizations working to make a positive difference in our community.
  • Hear an inspiring story of a neighborhood in Seattle that united to transform an under-used park into a community garden that grows vegetables and community.

To win these campaigns, we need you and other engaged community members to join the effort-so come and bring your friends. We'll supply the food.
