We should all take the following e-mail from Paul Kisala to heart.
Repeat after me 10 times: ON THE RIVER, YA NEVER KNOW!
Last night should be a lesson to those who listen to, and act upon, TV and radio weather. Despite the downpour in the afternoon, last night was one great racing/sailing evening: a steady decent breeze, no rain, and almost no chop. Yet a total of only 7 boats competed in 3 divisions. It gave me a first (the worst I could have done was second). So maybe fair-weather sailors should stay home after all!
Paul
Congats Paul on you first place finish in Division Three and your fourth place finish in Division One. From what I saw you had excellent starts in both races!
