From Russ Smiley:
12/30/14 - Stamford, Cove Island Park -- 8:55 AM; the Painted Bunting
emerged from the brush north of the tennis courts. It then flew NE
across the road toward the brick house there.

From Frank Mantlik:
12/30/14 - Stratford, Dorne drive, Short Beach Park -- SNOWY OWL
sitting on distant breakwater along Housatonic River mouth; scope
advised.  Also 36 Snow Buntings.

From Jason Rieger and John Marshall:
12/30/14 - Milford, Silver Sands SP -- 2 SHORT-EARED OWL chasing each
other around the mound visible to the northwest of the parking lot
against the sunset at about 5:00 PM.

From Diana Atwood Johnson:
12/30/14 - Old Lyme -- Yellow-breasted Chat continues behind DEEP
headquarters in shrubbery and at top of tree to right of dumpster.
Also m & f Northern Pintail.

From Steve Kotchko:
12/30/14 - Meriden, Hanover Pond -- Two Redheads continue, seen from
parking area on Oregon Road.  Water open at that time.

From Roy Zartarian:
12/30/14 - Hartford/Wethersfield, Goodwin Park, golf course -- A
birder departing as I arrived said that he had seen the Greater
White-fronted Goose (among the flock of Canadas).  For those wishing
to try their luck, the road through the park is closed off due to the
holiday of lights event. It's necessary to park in the club house lot
(across from the entrance to Cedar Hill Cemetery).

From Preston Lust:
12/30/14 - ?????, Winslow Park -- RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH seen close to
the entrance. Shortly after, a small flock of five blackbirds flew
overhead, with nothing but a couple of short chips. Most likely rusty
blackbirds.
