Hi NCL policy folks! Because we had a membership meeting this week, we are cancelling next week's policy call and rescheduling it for November 9th at 4 pm. We decided to move to the second Wednesday for November because it falls just after the second Tuesday of November which is the date that will decide many policy strategies for the next four years... Look for a meeting notice and agenda a few days before (on this listserv) and join us for lively conversation. One topic we will be discussing is proposed changes to the National Reporting System (NRS) and potential comments people are submitting . CLASP is just beginning analysis of the changes but anticipates comments on a variety of issues: * the new tables, including the Integrated Education and Training table * confusion around the terms Measurable Skill Gain and Educational Functioning Level * need for standard definitions of terms like "transition to postsecondary" * and more! I hope you all will be forming comments as well and we can discuss this more on November 9th. Here's information on the document and timeline: This week, Department of Education published the sixty-day PRA notice for WIOA performance accountability-compelled changes to the National Reporting System for Adult Education.
