Chuck
I've just been to Brisbane and while there visited the Brava factory.
The 42 is a very impressive boat. Overall, middle-of-the road in its
parameters without being extreme.
Efficient displacement hulls similar to Tenant designs driven by 190
HP motors (not the new BMW-derived ones).
His patented "Controlled Vapor Damping" is a set of three smallish
wavebreakers, two up front and to the sides and a central one further
back. There are probably some subtle hull curves which direct the
waves onto these wavebreakers. He made to me the analogy of a
wakeboard rider breaking the board's suction by going through the
froth of a wave.
I'm not sure, but it seems primarily to be something to differentiate
him from his competitors.
I was amazed by the size of the galley. Quite huge. There is also a
head beside the galley, accessible from both the saloon and the
cockpit. I'm not sure that I like this head position. It is in a most
important/useful part of the boat and may allow smells to reach the
saloon. There is no lower helm station.
Peter Brady is very knowledgeable and very experienced.
The Brava, in its various configurations, is a worthy boat and on my
short list.

Gary,
He may have referenced the two articles he wrote in the Summer 2006 issue of
Power of Multihulls magazine.
The first is entitled 'Brava 42' and describes the perfect boat, and the setup
that allows various configurations on the same hull form.
The second is entitled 'Controlled Vapor Dampening' and describes what that is all about.
(I hope that Malcolm Tenant reads it and will tell us how it differs from the CS hull.)

I'm building myself a little box that will plug into socket of the float
switch and a powered outlet! It will also have a socket for the pump power
plug. This will allow me to have a light indicator showing whenever power is
applied to the pump by the float switch and also to have a momentary TEST
switch which bypasses the float switch to power the pump for periodic
testing!
It's very simple to do but more challenging to get the right parts!
Do you have an electrical circuit diagram of the float and it's power plug?
Thanks for all your info!!
Cheers!
Lloyd
