I'm organizing an art show, Modern Womxn: An Exploration, in May at Alma Mater, supported by the Tacoma Arts Commission. If you'd like to share the call for artists, here is some sample language: Handmade PNW seeks self-identifying cisgender or trans womxn artists for a pop up art show tackling what it means - and feels like - to be a woman/womxn today. First round of acceptances will go out Feb 6-10, and artists receive a modest stipend for their work. The art show runs May 2-30 at Alma Mater in downtown Tacoma. The project also includes an artists' reception and community party (May 7), plus a workshop on the modern womxn at work (May 19).
