Good afternoon IMLA Fellows: Following-up on last week's call, we would love it if you would submit proposals to speak at IMLA events. I am still looking for speakers for the IMLA Spring Seminar, which will take place in April in Washington DC or virtually if public health conditions will not allow for in person gatherings. Here are the topics we are looking for speakers for: * Employment law hot topics * Ethics * Affordable housing issues * Diversity / inclusion * Small / Rural Communities presentation * Section 1983: Qualified Immunity * Section 1983: Jury Trials * Section 1983: Monell Trends * Section 1983: Jail issues If you would like to present on one of these topics, I'd ask that you send me an email with a short description of your proposed presentation (2-3 sentences is typically fine). In terms of other details, the Seminar will take place, if in person, at the Omni Shoreham hotel in Washington DC from 4/23 - 4/26. If public health considerations are such that we cannot have an in person event, we will offer a fully virtual event around the same time.
