Southern Sociological Society Annual Meeting (2013)
Reminder: Impacts of Technology and Social Media (formerly Technology Use and Adaptation)
Good morning!
We are still looking for papers for a session on the impacts of technology and social media. The original call for this session stated that we were specifically looking for papers dealing with technology adoption and adaptation, however we have decided to make the focus of the session a bit more broad. Thus, if you would like to present a paper that focuses on the social impacts of technology use or on the use of social media, theoretical or empirical, please send your abstract to rberk@uab.edu.
The deadline for submission for this session is Friday, October 26th. Submissions need to include the title of the paper, author's names/affiliations/contact information, and an extended abstract of between 450-550 words (which should include a summary of theoretical framework/methods/findings). Decisions will be made on all submitted abstracts no later than October 29th.
If you have any questions, please send an email to rberk@uab.edu.
