I attached some photos, which shaw MC 30 as a tralerable boat. Her beam
is exactly 2,89 m and to trailer her in EU You should to pay for the
road  permission only ( in Germany is about 100 EUR pro year ) and used
a car as  Jeep

Regarding the MotorCat 30, it's hard to consider her
as "trailerable" with a 3 meter beam!  Otherwise, it
looks to be a usable choice for those who choose
to select the smallest boat on which they might be
comfortable, rather than the largest boat they can
afford.

That certainly was an impressive array of power catamarans at last
week's show in Annapolis!

From the sporty offerings by World Cat, Glacier Bay and Twin Vee to
the spectacular Cumberland 44, you could pick and choose models to
suit your cruising desires and your budget.

As the show highlights, I would have to list, in no special order:

-- MotorCat 30: an exceptional small cruiser that seems to have been
designed and built with care. Augurs well for what we can expect in
the 27-footer that will be introduced in 2006.
http://www.motorcat.com/
http://www.severnyachtsales.com/

-- Highland 35: A new and worthy competitor for the popular PDQ 34.
http://www.fountaine-pajot.com/rubrique174-en.html

-- Manta 44 PowerCat: A brand new boat that looks like a winner right
out of the gate.

-- Lagoon Power 43: Now, here is a master stateroom that is truly

masterful.

    http://www.lagoonpower.com/UK/frameset_uk.html
    http://www.southcoastcats.com

-- ExciteCat 810: two staterooms in a 26.5-footer, simply amazing!
http://www.soundcats.com/FrameExcitecat.htm

-- Endeavour 40 TrawlerCat: Talk about a spacious two-stateroom
liveaboard cruiser!
http://www.endeavourcats.com

-- Livingston 7.5: is it the smallest production power cat for sale
in the U.S.?
http://livingstonboats.com/

-- Prowler 480 Powercat: You gotta love that sleek profile.
http://www.prowlercat.co.za/

-- Cumberland 44: A spectacular yacht that begs to be chartered with
a group of friends. Unless you can afford the $750K bite by yourself.

Maximum width in the USA is 8.5 feet
which is approximately 2.5925 meters.

The home website showed beam of 2.99
meters which converts to 9 feet, 8 inches.

I have been told that anything wider than
a 8.5 foot width requires special permits.
In some cases, I believe a permit mus be
purchased each time you tow and for
each state.

Some folks generally get away with towing
9 feet as long as they don't call attention
to themselves.  Boat hanging way outside
the trailer wheels is a big clue.  I have also
been told that an arresting officer can't
require the boat (or trailer) owner to hold
the other end of the measuring tape!!!

I may be all wrong here, but I'm sure
somebody on this list will correct me!!

I made an incorrect read of the Severn Yacht Sales site.
The beam is shown as 3.0 meters. It was also shown as
9'99".  I believe that omitted a decimal point and that
it should have shown 9' 9.9"  My calculations show that
3.0 meters comes out to 9' 10.03" which is pretty close
to 9 feet 9.9 inches.  That is definitely going to require
permits, but probably not official escort vehicles.  This is
NOT, however, an area in which I have any expertise.
