Downtown On the Go and Tacoma Youth Symphony Association Present TYSA Walk: A Celebration of Music and Movement
Tacoma, WA. Downtown On the Go (DOTG) continues its 2025 Walk Tacoma series with a unique, artful experience highlighting Tacoma’s youth performing arts.
In partnership with the Tacoma Youth Symphony Association (TYSA), the TYSA Walk will take place on Wednesday, July 9th, from 6:00–7:00 PM, beginning at Theater on the Square Outdoor Plaza (917 Broadway).
This 0.5-mile walk will wind through the heart of downtown Tacoma, traveling along Antique Row and Opera Alley.
Participants will be guided on a musical journey that explores how the performing arts and music education are woven into the city’s identity. TYSA staff and students will share stories of their work, and surprise performances will bring the experience to life along the way.
The TYSA Walk is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is encouraged. Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome. The route is approximately a half mile round trip. To learn more and register, visit: https://downtownonthego.com/
Special thanks to Multicare, the 2025 Walk Tacoma Series Sponsor, for supporting efforts to connect people, place, and community through walkable experiences.
About: Downtown On the Go!
Downtown On the Go’s purpose is to create a community where everyone can get around with or without a car. We are the transportation advocate for anyone whose life is in greater Tacoma. We do this by: Advocating for transportation equity for all, regardless of background, ability, or circumstance. Educating about transportation choices other than driving alone. Encouraging use of transit, ridesharing, biking, walking, and flexible work arrangements. Championing transportation choices and policies that promote community livability.
