As you are aware I spent several days at the Sanctuary boat show and was
particularly attracted to the King Cat as I thought it was one of the best
ones there in it's size category. Being the first boat, I was impressed by
the lay-up as it was done well and the boat presented exceptionally well as
it keep drawing me back to her. The major issue I and many others had was
the wood work inside, which was a dark stained mahogany. It appeared to be a
rushed job as the finish was not up to the standard that one would expect in
a boat of this caliber. The yard is very much aware of the feed back on the
interior finish and I am sure it will be corrected as the people associated
with the boat yard seem to be responsive to the feedback!!

The boat has some neat features and has a feeling of spaciousness even
though it is a 38' boat. The staterooms were done up nicely along with the
heads. The fly bridge was huge for a boat of this size. The King also had a
nice cockpit with space for a built-in Barbie, fish holding tanks, sink etc.
There was a large space under the lift up stairway to the flybridge for
things like a washer-dryer or other things. Engine access was thru large
hatches in the cockpit with plenty of room for a genny and air-con.

I did not get a chance to go for a trial run on her as we had to leave for
Canada but we will certainly do a good run when we get back to OZ!! I have
pic's of the boat as well as other Cat's that were at the show!!

Cheers!
Lloyd
