Mark R. asked to estimate amp hour use for a bread maker. When I figured my
Panisonic I disregarded mixing and beating phase as it draws so litttle. For
the baking it was a 40 min. cycle. I guessed that it had a 50% + or - duty
cycle. 800 watt heating elliment. With inverter losses and all I guessed
about 30-40 amp hours. It's a rough guess with losses and all.
My wife and I could not live without a bread maker. Ours also makes dough
for long french bread finished in the oven. Also she make pizza crusts.
In 1962 when I put the first breadmaker on in NZ after a trip home it would
not work with the Heart inverter till I found that if the voltage was below
12.4 VDC everything went fine. For some reason the timer did not like the
Sq. wave when the input voltage was high. So I would run the fridge down at
the same time.
