is very easy to remove with a deck brush dipped in some wood bleach (oxalic
acid) and water. The brown just fades away in minutes.

You can buy wood bleach at Ace Hardware or on line. It is a powder and it
does not take
much in water to make the brown mustache disappear (no scrubbing) then we
wax again and your good to go!
