BUY, SELL AND TRADE TRAWLERS AND TRAWLERING GEAR
View all threadsWhile I am a broker, this is our personal boat that is owned by my wife and I. We have lovingly restored her over the last year and a half with no systems untouched. All work professionally done and includes everything from recoring the foredeck and aft bridge deck (used synthetic coring so will never absorb water), painting entire topsides, electrical upgrades, granite countertops in the galley, etc. Over 100 pictures showing her full condition are viewable here:

The only reason we are selling is that my wife decided we needed more room (who am I to argue with that?!) so we have bought a 45' pilothouse. Our Monk is turn key and ready to go and will not disappoint anyone that comes to see her that loves the Monk pedigree and the quality of the Monk 36. Low hours (just under 1,900) on her Perkins 135hp 6.354 and even lower on her newer Northern Lights 8KW generator with sound shield (only 333 hours!). You will not be disappointed in the condition of this vessel- 100% freshwater and kept under a covered slip for over the last 15 years and prior to that she was in San Diego. HVAC systems have never seen salt, rebuilt exhaust system has never seen salt, and both water and holding tanks have been replaced (fuel tanks were pressure tested last year and held great!).
If you are looking to buy a classic older trawler but don't want to deal with "old boat" issues, now is your chance.
