From Maurice Nunas aboard the Krogen 54 Akama:
We are leaving Gulf Harbour Marina this morning (Sunday), with Corey
(Louise-Ann's brother) and Jan (our Kiwi crew member) aboard. We
plan to make our way up the NZ east coast slowly, sightseeing, and
will then stay in the Bay of Islands area until we get the right
weather window to make passage to Australia.
Georgs,
We are a KK-48 Whaleback...I wish we were a 54, especially when slogging
into head seas!
We are now at Opua trying to find a lost shipment. We will set out Tuesday
or Wednesday for Oz.
On our web site, there is a link to the Winlink 2000 position reporting
system, into which we try to post our position daily.
Cheers,
M & LA
