The impetus
for this event, besides another excuse to hang out with your Gator buddies, is
raising funds for the Y’s Annual Campaign… If you are in a position to do so,
please donate to this very worthwhile cause.
You can donate in three ways…Click on the following link to
complete an online donation.  This can be
a recurring or one-time donation.  If you
go this route, please select “In Honor Of” and enter “Tri Club” so we can track
our progress… Click here to “Donate Now”If you’d prefer to offer some
incentive to the runners, you can do a “per mile” donation (based on 26.2
miles).  To do this, just send an e-mail
to gatorstri@gmail.com with your
desired per mile amount and we’ll follow-up with you after the event. We will also take cash or check
donations anytime (there will be a donation jar at the event’s “aid station”!

No donation is too small.

About A Gator: Can’t sing,
loves “dancing” (particular tiny dancers), and has a great role model!  What else is there to say?  Lot’s…

Recommended: This week’s recommendations
include two newly discovered podcast series…Effortless Swimming podcast (and “Triathletes
in Motion” book): This podcast
is focused on swimming and seems to be heavily biased towards triathletes.  One of the recent podcasts at the link is an
interview with “Triathletes In Motion” author, Marc Evans.  I have a copy of this book if anyone would
like to check it out… It’s like an encyclopedia of strength and flexibility
training specifically for triathletes that includes some pass/fail tests you
can do to determine areas of weakness to focus on.  It’s heavy on the technical details.  Perhaps listen to the podcast and then let me
know if you’d like to borrow the book… http://effortlessswimming.com/Endurance Hour: This podcast offers a variety of
triathlon related tips and information.
I’ve listened to a couple of episodes and found them to include some
useful information… http://www.endurancehour.com/
