I was talking to a welder who is putting together an estimate for aluminum
fuel tanks. He noted three things about the old steel tanks. First there
is no fuel level sending unit hole in the tanks, second there is no
equalizing hose fitting between the port and starboard tanks, and third the
access port cut into the side of my tanks is located between two tank
baffles thus restricting access to the center section of the tank only. My
question is...are these three things required in the new tanks and if so or
not, why?
Thanks
Joseph
