[image: Inline image 1] Foss Waterway Seaport is proud to present* First on the Waterways: **The Puyallup People, *a new exhibition exploring the history of the Puyallup People and their intimate connection to the Salish Sea and the Puyallup River, opening February 15, 2018. For millennia, the Puyallup tribe has lived by, traveled on, and drawn sustenance from local waterways. This exhibition highlights the life of the Puyallup People in the South Sound including historical traditions, canoe building and fishing technique, resource utilization, diet, world view, and contact with other tribes as well as explorers. "Foss Waterway Seaport maritime museum is located on Puyallup land, and this is an important story to tell," said Executive Director Wesley Wenhardt.
