My 1970 Willard 36 has original Vosper Thornycroft
Stabilizers, I believe is a forerunner to Naiad. The
electrical contacts are rather noisy, and there is a
distinct knock to them (worn bushing I suppose), but
they have worked for 35 years - and several trips to
Mexico and Florida from California with previous
owners.
I think the immediate forerunner of Naiads were called
"Dol-Fins" !! At least, my Naiad manuals have a whole
3-page chapter on "How the Naiad improves on the
Dol-fin" :)
