We our very new to cruising south and finding the voyage wonderfully pleasant. The seaside communities Greenport, Port Jeff, and Cape May have been fabulous destinations. Have read in Waterway and Chesapeake Bay Guides Havre de Grace is a great place to explore. Just not sure which marina to stay at. There appear to be 4 to choose from and are getting mixed reviews. Tidewater Marina Havre de Grace Marina at Log Pond Penns Beach at Heron Harbor Havre de Grace Yacht Basin Anyone with any knowledge on the 4 above mentioned marinas is welcomed. And insight to Havre de Grace too. This list serve has been an outstanding resource for us novice mariner explorers. Thank you. The decoy museum and the waterfront parks add to the experience of enjoying Havre de Grace. We spent a week at Havre de Grace City Yacht Basin and were very happy with it. There is a nice little diner that sells softshell crab sandwiches and the marina office is a tugboat pilothouse. Great rate for a week. Check it out on Active Captain.
