I had the same sort of rapid impeller failures.  Turned out it was due to a downstream blockage causing high back pressure.  The suggestion of checking the riser elbow for blockage is a good one. Tom Collins - Misty Sea

Gents: Today we installed a new pump. It works perfectly. No I didn't check the riser but it is something I will do soon, perhaps even tomorrow. Thanks again for all the assistance!
