Gators in 2016!
Happy Valentines Day to all our Lady Gators out there!
Gators,
We’ve kicked off the 2016 training season, on the heels of our best year
yet.
And when I say “best” it can be interpreted in so many different ways.
- · We had a record number of First Time Ironman FINISHERS
- · We had a record number of First Time Half Ironman FINISHERS
- · We had a record number of First Time Triathletes join our
club and get bit by the bug
I know many of you had PR’s, firsts, and took on a lot of new firsts,
stepping out of your comfort zones, challenging both your mind and body to
overcome predetermined limits that were put on yourself, but through
training, dedication and commitment, all of you were able to rise above,
meet each obstacle head on, persevere and establish a new level of
confidence and a “CAN DO” attitude.
I am so proud to be part of this great organization, we have a phenomenal
club, of course we do, after all, it has a strong foundation built by Danny
Friend, Jon Wesler, Brent Voynar, Don Mack, our esteemed coaching staff,
but most importantly, it’s build on the character of YOU…our MEMBERSHIP!
It’s YOU that make this club great! It’s the smiles, the laughs, the
cheers, the tears, the pain, the guts and the glory throughout your
journeys that make this club great. It’s the camaraderie, the team
training, the sharing of your experiences with others, the making of new
friendships and further solidifying the already existing ones that I look
back upon and relish just how valuable the time we spend with each other
truly is. We’ve welcomed a lot of new members to our ranks in 2015, and we
appear to be off to another good start in 2015.
I am so happy to move into 2016 with this great group of athletes and
excited to see the miles of smiles that come from your faces as you tackle
new challenges and further realize just how great each and every one of you
are! We have some great talent on our board with Frank Moffa as VP, Don
Mack as our Superstar Secretary, Chris Reiter as our Treasurer, and a great
coaching staff among our ranks!
Look out 2016…Watch out…The GATORS are coming for you!!
