We have our trawler at Green Turtle Bay and are planning a trip this spring up the Tennessee river at least as far as Knoxville. Does anyone have charts from Pickwick upriver to Knoxville. I am frustrated with the Corps of Engineers site and the books seem to be still out of print. Let me know please, I'll be happy to purchase. I will also need the charts from Pickwick to Mobile if you have them...but those I can get new if I have to.

I would think you can find the TN River charts on Amazon or Ebay. I have a
dated book of charts that I used and still use, 2000, but they are plenty
good enough. I don't know what the newest version is dated but if you can
find any, you'd be good to go. The title is "Tennessee River Navigation
Charts, Paducah, Kentucky to Knoxville TN. by TVA US Army Corps of
Engineers. I paid  $24.99 new back then and they are quite good charts.
Outdated I'm sure for marinas etc, but that information can be had, and the
charts themselves change little.
Check Amazon or Ebay.

Ken,

The corps charts are not worth it.  When you get close to the Tenn river buy the fishing GPS maps available for the lakes.  The have detail the others lack and are based on the geo surveys done just before flooding the pools by the dams.  Also, the Navionics  app for iph have great detail for where you are going ... And cheaper than the poor  corp books.

Plan on doing the tellico and little Tn rivers and the hiawassi.  Great cruising

The ACOE web site is a horrible example of an attempt to be "helpful!"
I've even written the webmaster about it and pointed out broken links -
they're still broken. Absolutely nothing like the USCG/NOAA site which
is so user friendly.

They do have downloadable ENC charts which I've downloaded for all of
the inland rivers. Here's the link for the ENC charts (don't try to
follow the links on the ACOE web sites):

http://chart.tec.army.mil/ChartServer/jsp/

In the past couple of days I've been able to get the "TEXTUAL" link to
work but not the "GRAPHICAL" link on that page.
