March 1st marked the first-ever Ground to Sound Film Festival! The film fest was a call to action by the City of Tacoma in partnership with the UWT Sustainability Committee and Foster's Creative for the health of our neighborhoods, our marine ecosystems, and Tacoma’s future. Screened films highlighted our city's urgent need to reduce stormwater drain pollution and protect our precious Puget Sound waterways. The film festival may be over, but prize money is still to be awarded! Whether you were able to attend or not, we are calling on all community members to partake and cast their vote on which submission is their favorite.
