Contrary to what the Coast Guard has been advised by the bridge owner,
today's Florida Today newspaper reported that navigation through the
Haulover Canal bridge (ICW MM 869.2 at the north end of Indian River
Lagoon, Florida) may be affected by bridge repair work on Thursday
(January 12th). Of course, the newspaper isn't authoritative, but it
might be advisable to check with the bridge by telephone well in advance
if you're heading that way and need an opening to pass through. Vertical
clearance is listed on the chart at 27 feet.
