5/18/13- Milford- CT Audubon Coastal Center tower- Northern Harrier hunting over the marsh, 5 Gadwall Lots of shorebirds now at almost high tide including 150 Semipalmated and 50 Black-bellied Plovers,1 White-rumped,1 Spotted,12 Least and 150 Semipalmated Sandpipers, 75 Dunlin, 7 Short-billed Dowitchers,4 Willets,25 Ruddy Turnstones. These are conservative estimates. Shorebirds were on the sandbars, on exposed mudflats,and in the marsh in the grass.
