Not the local breeder (Eastern). eBird tip: It's time for a reminder about the usual suspects that cause trouble this time of the year and require photos: Lincoln's Sparrows, Olive-sided Flycatchers, Orange-crowned and Blackpoll Warblers. Atlas note: Early to mid August is still good for late season atlassing with many birds still actively feeding young; indeed now is the best time to confirm late breeders such as Cedar Waxwing and American Goldfinch. There has also been a strong influx of Red Crossbills into the region; any area west of Ottawa with plenty of pines with maturing cones could hold small roving bands. But please exercise caution with other species as there are loads of migrants moving through as well.
