Since the fall migration is in full swing I thought I would give an
update on the status of access to the Nonquon sewage lagoons. I was in
touch with Durham Regional staff two or three times in the last couple
of weeks and I've been advised that the lagoons will not be opened in
the foreseeable future. This is strictly due to the potential impact on
staff from Covid-19. Please note these are one of the few lagoons that
have staff on duty most of the time so the risk to them is higher than
it would be for a typical sewage lagoon that is not staffed. DurhamĀ
Region advises there is zero tolerance to trespass so please do not
enter the Nonquon lagoons until we're given the all clear by Durham
Region. Thank-you
