Re: T&T: Wild crime on the waters in Panama City
Mon, Aug 10, 2015 5:01 PM
We estimate that we saw 50-75 law enforcement cars heading south on Hwy 77. Panama Police mostly came from a different direction, as did FWC and police cars from other cities. An armed resident saw the two men trying to break into a house and tried to apprehend them himself.

The estimated price, $250CA, appears to be for ONE sensor. Most diesels need two. I have two diesels. The second (return) sensor was reported to be only in the planning stages (back in 2015.) The page suggests they're going to use low-energy Bluetooth. Not suitable for communicating from ER to flybridge. The page suggests the units are battery-powered.

NOAA – National Spatial Reference System modernization
Sat, Jul 25, 2020 11:16 AM
Additionally, coordinates will be estimated within these frames and datum at five-year reference epochs from the time-tagged coordinates, beginning with 2020.00. Initial completion and rollout of the NSRS modernization is expected to occur between 2022 and 2025, with additional support tools and services rolled out in subsequent years. 85 Fed.

openSCAD not drawing in it's preview window.
Fri, Jul 31, 2015 1:09 AM
When I run openscad normally, on the slow GPU it's fine, but when I try to run it on the high performance GPU (and it is MUCH higher performance) using the optirun command it leaves most of it's preview window alone (I can see other windows and my desktop through the window, though I can't "touch" them) and it draws in a little 2 inch wide by 1 inch tall (estimated

Re: [USRP-users] Low frequency response of WBX Board
Mon, Jan 30, 2012 8:11 PM
A USRP2 may have 10ppm or so frequency errors, which at 2.1GHz are: 2.1e9 * 1e-5 = 21KHz It is fairly typical for radios to have frequency offsets, hence many protocols have methods for estimating and cancelling frequency offset. To mitigate this issue, lock both USRP2s to the same external 10MHz reference.

question about timing synchronization
Tue, Apr 10, 2012 4:58 PM
I plan to do the timing and frequency offset estimations and correction in MATLAB after successfully transmitting between the two devices. My idea so far is to transmit by reading IQ samples from a source binary file and then upon reception, to save IQ sample data to a destination binary file.

Re: [USRP-users] Random Phase Offset Between Two Rx Channels of B210 ???
Tue, Mar 24, 2015 9:18 PM
In order to apply direction of arrival (DOA) technique, I have to first use a reference signal to detect this random phase offset, remove it and then estimate the angle of transmitter. On 24.3.2015 22:12, Marcus D.

If its possible to estimate jitter on the 1pps signal that would be nice, but I'm sure I could look at adding that myself. Unfortunatly, I'm not a perl guru. Much prefer C, but I'm willing to give anything a try - as long as it doee not need Windows. -- Dr.
