WIth the IQ phase difference display, one can get a pretty decent estimate of the needed tuning correction, without doing any real work at all, in a day or so.

Re: Reducing time-interval noise with RNCAN PPP?

Eventually a much better estimate of those things and a pile of others as well. The net result is a much better answer to the “where am I / what time is is” question. The various real time correction data streams try to emulate this process. If accurate time is the goal, there are data streams focused on this.

Re: 20230122: Please help me understand my OCXO

I’d suggest that while it’s a valid use of math, the result isn’t really significant for a “per day” estimate. The good news: Your OCXO seems to be running ok and it’s not broken.

Re: Question about Trimble NetR9 receiver options

If you wait a few weeks ( 3 to 4) NRCan will give you a nice “.clk” file with lots of digits in the estimate. Most of the time, a week long file seems to be ok to about 0.1 ns. There can be 1 to 2 ns bumps in some files. Keep in mind that all this is simply going back to GPS time and without some further work, you don’t have a full link to BIH.

Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch - Beamer Conservation Area (22 Mar 2024) 12 Raptors
Fri, Mar 22, 2024 8:30 PM
Technically spring, but Beamer was in the crosshairs of a low pressure system estimated to dump 10-15 cm of snow. ESE winds can be productive, but not when there is horizontal snow. Full cloud cover for the majority of the count. No count from 10 EST to 11:30 due to poor visibility due to snow. I returned to the tower at 11:30 for another 1 1/2 hours.

Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch (26 Sep 2024) 1096 Raptors

I’d estimate at least 10,000+ went by the site today before tapering off. And finally for those wondering about Monarchs… apparently yesterday (We’d) there was a steady movement of Monarchs westward along the shore line… while today I noted only about 25.

[Ontbirds]James Bay Shorebirds - Akimiski Report # 5
Wed, Aug 20, 2008 2:23 AM
The authors stated, "The finding that trends were quite different in the North Atlantic and Midwest regions makes us reluctant to calculate rangewide trend estimates." In the North Atlantic Region, three possible causes for the decline in total numbers were evaluated: 1.
