Re: [Ontbirds] Bobwhites at Aylmer Wildlife Management Area

In my estimation, concerns about countability misses the big picture. Personally, I feel the more important thing to remind ourselves is that birding is all about getting out and enjoying nature. Birders currently have an opportunity to see/hear and enjoy the Northern Bobwhite present at Aylmer WMA, regardless of deemed countability.

In any case, it looks like 130 NM is a good nominal number, with a conservative estimate (mean minus one standard deviation) of 80 NM. For whatever its worth!

-Cuba Trade and Economic Council, atrade group, estimates that 173,000 U.S. citizens visited Cuba last year. It says some 22,000 Americans went without authorization, risking fines. Under the Trading with the Enemy Act, U.S. citizens are barred from spending any money in Cuba -- making travel there all but impossible.

We, however, have no data in house which would let us even estimate the increased life. Cu-Ni is better placed on the electrochemical corrosion chart, is harder and has higher tensile strength. As an aside, it is also less conductive, but across the wall conduction is not controlling the capacity of any conventional heat exchanger.

Marine engineers estimate the bollard pull of a highly efficient propeller at about 30 lbs. per applied HP. Assuming that the propeller is maximally efficient, the 4.9 hp would produce a thrust of 147 lbs or 30 lbs less than necessary to hold the boat in a fixed position against the wind.

We sent the plans across North America, got a bunch of estimates, narrowed the list, interviewed the best . . .

You'll have to know - or have a very good estimate - of how much power you need to replace. You'll need to know how big the battery bank is, and you'll need to know it's underlying technology: wet, AGM or Gel, as they all have different Peukert exponents, terminal voltages and charge rates that will make small differences in your design objectives.

The unknown phase offset between ADCs is automatically sucked into the estimation of H. My university research and startup is trying to do better than an inverse solution without the complexity of maximum-likelihood. Since this is just research and proof-of-concept, real-time operation isn't necessary. FYI for anyone else reading the thread.
