Hi Neighbors,
I'm trying to program my 2014 GMC Yukon to the front gate following my vehicle book instructions. It is all for a garage door opener, but trying to do it for the gate remote that I have. I have not been successful. Does anyone know how to do this? I also have a 2015 GMC Sierra that I should be able to program, but can't. Maybe it is me as the user (I'm okay if it is and someone can help), but looking to see if anyone has any suggestions to avoid buying another remote or having to enter the code. It just doesn't seem like it should be this complicated!

I asked a gate technician about this one day when they were working up
front. He said that if you happen to get the on board car remote to work,
great, but that the system was not designed to work with our vehicles. I
was bummed because my car remote worked before they changed out the box
last year.

It is strange. I have a 2018 Forerunner and we were able to press clicker to car button and it worked. But it won’t work on husbands 2020 Accord. Wish they would address.

My husband was able to pair his GMC with the gate this past week. He programs his customers vehicles to gates often so he may know a trick! Feel free to call/text him (Trevor 830-328-3545) and he would be happy to explain or meet you at the gate and try to program both of your vehicles for you. If successful I can try and explain what he does. 😊

No problem with three different brands of vehicle.
Only comment I have is that I had to press the gate remote multiple times while programming the car remote. I released and pressed again every time the light in the gate remote went off. After a while the car got it. In one of our cars I had to try a couple of times to get it to work.
