It's because the pipes are frozen. Unfortunately, ice expands, so the pipes may break and cause water damage once they thaw. We dripped our faucets on the outside walls and they froze over in spite of that. I called the water company and they of course tell me it’s my pipes and not their issue. If it is many of us, wouldn’t it be on them to check the main water lines? Anyone else called them? Our water was on until about 45 minutes ago. Since we all lost water at the same time, it is clearly a SAWS issue not an individual issue. I called SAWS and they said no service outage had been reported for our neighborhood. Not sure what street you are on, but I don't think everyone on Autumn Terrace simultaneously had their pipes burst at 10:30 am. Clearly water to a portion of the neighborhood has been shut off by SAWS, or a main pipe servicing Autumn Terrace has been compromised.
