From my post about 13 hours ago, in the thread about STL editing ;:
"P.S. I sent an email for this thread earlier, replying to David, Tue,
Jul 18, 2023 6:52 AM, which still doesn't appear in my inbox a few hours
later. It does appear in Empathy. Could someone kindly let me know if it
has arrived in their lists please?"
Any feedback please?

If you mean this " Thanks David. After watching that well made video I’m
envious of Blender users. Greatly expands potential for using Thingiverse,
given the high proportion without SCAD files. But adding ‘Learn Blender’ to
my to-do list would not be a wise move, I regret." then yes I saw it.
The mailing list never sends back your own posts. I use gmail which
interleaves my own posts with those from the mailing list.It is just
the same as a normal email conversation, you don't expect the receiver to
echo back your posts. The email client interleaves them to form a thread.

Well.... This mailing list's software DOES. I don't know about others,
but I can say for sure that this one does. Each time I send a message

minutes later. Also it processes the subject line a bit: I'm sending
this one out as: "Re: [OpenSCAD] Re: Any feedback?" and I think I'll
get it back as "[OpenSCAD] Re: Any feedback?".

Roger.
gmail has been canceling the echo back to the sender since it started.
To gmail the echo is a duplicate to be killed.
Its non-negotiable so I bailed out of gmail the instant my isp offered a
mailtoworld account using dovecot, which does not do that silly-ness, I
like the confirmation that my post made it to the list, even if I don't
get an answer.
Get rid of gmail if your isp provides something else. Life is too short
to put up with such an aggravation.
Cheers, Gene Heskett.

This is my fault. Since I was pointing at a youtube video detailing
precision editing of STL files for 3D printing using Blender, I thought
it was inappropriate to send to the general OpenSCAD list, and just sent it
to Terry’s personal email.

Thanks to all for those replies, all of which are neatly arranged in the
inbox thread - except for my original! (Empathy includes that too, of
course.)
I'm going to post this, then post a duplicate from a non-gmail address
as a test. From a previous check a year or two ago, I don't think the
latter will arrive, and I'm not sure why?
