What a difference a day makes.
Thu, Oct 6, 2011 4:34 PM
I would estimate a good 100 plus birds. In was little else cept 2 Ruby-c-Kinglet, some Chippers, Swamps and Song Sparrows - all new today. Also noted were NO Catbirds! They were here yesterday. Also new was a flock of 12 Purple Finch fly over. So a big fall out of Yellow-rumps last night, and hoping for MORE new birds and frost tomorrow!

If not, any estimate as to how much effort/time would go into this if we decide to do on our own? Thanks in advance for the inputs. Regards, Anshuman

[Ontbirds] Snow Geese - Glengarry County
Wed, Mar 17, 2010 2:38 AM
Hi, Further to Brian Morin's post, I would estimate that 10,000 to 15,000 Snow Geese (inc a smattering of blues) flew overhead eastwards along Cedar Grove Road, northeast of Williamstown between 11 a.m. and noon. This is one concession north of where Brian reported thousands of birds.

"...even if it costs them 30% more which we estimate can add around USD$500,000 or more on a boat this size." If my rusty math skills still serve, that suggests a (made in China) price of about $1.7M. About what I expected. For a boat that doesn't exist yet, except in marketing promotions such as Mr. Winter's.

TWL: RE: Genset repairs
Thu, Nov 30, 2000 12:26 PM
Estimates to fix the controls were from $1200 to $1500. Plus I needed a new heat exchanger..~$800.00. Engine ran fine with good oil pressure and compression. I bit the bullet and chucked it. Out of curiosity I pulled the pan to check the bottom end. The center main bearing was shot!! So my experience says use it as a mooring and go for the new!!!
