Re: does BOSL2's NURBS have a "length" or a "position at length" functions?
Mon, Feb 3, 2025 3:38 PM
So, I am NOT complaining ;-) I also know that there are some numerical estimators for computing NURBS lengths ,and while they are very accurate, they are still estimations. I'll look into this and see if I can come up with something that functions now, and I can share it with others with the intent of polishing it up to submit a pull request.

Re: [time-nuts] xtal oscillator phase noise

With the correct flicker phase noise generation mechanism model its not too difficult to estimate the flicker phase noise if one has sufficient data on the oscillator transistor characteristics Since real crystals exhibit flicker noise such estimates will need to be supplemented by actual measurements.

There were an estimated 1,980 Semis out there tonight on the incoming tide (high is around 8pm). The birds were packed tightly on the back side of the gravel sandbars, so it was very difficult to sort through them for less common species. With this number of birds around, the flocks should be scoured for rarities.

Birds spooked by Vultures by the time I stop the car - they were gone - no estimate on size. Large area of multiflora on the east side of Silver Street - good spot for a Northern Shrike - really need a scope for this site. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?
