I estimate there are 80 or so Mallards scattered around the lake. A few Canada Geese as well. Also, to my surprise there were 3 F/juv LESSER SCAUP in the north cove off my association beach. From around Stamford into Rhode Island there is a band of deep blue (on the radar I am looking at it is blue) extending from the coast to as much as 20 miles (estimated) inland. Checking the direction, the motion in CT appears to be along that same east/west follow-the-coast axis.

Gull numbers (and garbage truck numbers) were high: I'd estimate at least 3,000 large gulls, with flocks coming and going throughout my stay and ~1500-2000 on the ground at all times. Since negative reports are worth posting, I found it rather amazing (and frustrating) that not a single uncommon species was seen.

The male Oregon Junco returned and 3 Sandhill Cranes flew over about 2:30 flocks of Ring-billed Gulls, estimated to number over 1300 birds total, were moving south all afternoon as well a modest flight of hawks included: Northern Harrier 3 Sharp-shinned Hawk 2 Cooper's Hawk 1 Red-tailed Hawk 6 Turkey Vulture 21 Merlin 1 all were flying due south presumably

The topography of the dump makes it difficult to estimate numbers but at any given time up to thirty "white-winged" gulls were visible, including all age classes. There were also good numbers of Great Black-backed and Herring plus one putative Glaucous x Herring (seen only in flight). Other birds included 2 Rough-legged Hawk and 2 Lapland Longspur.

Estimated fair market value as stated in that survey: $155,000 and showed this vessel to be in "Above Average Condition". ASKING PRICE $76,500!!
