PRS10 lamp voltage
Thu, Jun 14, 2018 8:55 AM
I was wondering how can I estimated the age of the Rubidium oscillator. I think the age is related to the lamp voltage but which voltage should I read ?

Re: [time-nuts] Is 5061A by itself a primary reference? Was: Modern Rb atomic reference vs classic Cs

I just stumbled over this sentence in [1]: ---schnipp--- The shift of the Rb-hyperfine center frequency νRb resulting from buffer gas pressure (2.6 kPa) is measured as 3390 Hz, this is in excellent agreement with theoretically estimated value of 3385 Hz.

unidentified migrators
Sun, Nov 3, 2013 1:13 PM
These birds were on the same path (flying east to west) as the Canadas, following behind and this flock (hard for me to estimate but it had to be hundreds, probably thousands) continued for about 2 minutes as I continued to watch in awe.

Westport Yard Nocturnal Migrants

I did my best to make conservative estimates of the number of birds based off of perceived duplication of calls, or lack thereof, within a given interval of about 40 seconds.

BRIDLED, Black, Royal Terns
Wed, Aug 9, 2017 11:08 PM
We also saw 1-2 BLACK TERNS and about 12 ROSEATE TERNS on the island- among an estimated 1600 COMMON TERNS. During the ride back to the dock, we found a ROYAL TERN resting on a small rock isle about 1/2 mouth south of the Guilford shoreline. Frank Mantlik Stratford Sent from my iPhone

Stonington Point shearwaters this morning
Thu, Jul 26, 2018 11:50 AM
I estimated 150 birds between 6:30 and 7:00 am.  When I left, there were a few birds still going through.  A few were in Ct. waters, but virtually all were in NY waters.  I had 1 Sooty Shearwater in NY waters and 1 Great Shearwater in CT waters.  It flew across the end of the point inside the breakwater.

Member question - inclusionary zoning, clawback agreeemnts
Thu, Feb 11, 2016 2:42 PM
Chuck Has anyone dealt with inclusionary zoning/workforce housing, and specifically, how to calculate an estimate of damages for non-compliance, or fees in lieu of compliance? What goes into creating a formula for these fees? Charles W. Thompson, Jr.
