Re: T&T: Re; chain counter
Thu, Mar 6, 2008 12:34 PM
IMHO, you don't need to know the exact length of chain out of the locker; if the count is within 10-20 feet that's just fine, and with marks every 25 feet you can estimate the length of chain between marks, if it would really matter that much.

Injectors R&R

What is a good estimate of difficulty & time, I'm pretty handy, rebuilt several gas engines, winches, transmissions etc (non-professional). Thanks for any feedback from someone who has done it. Thanks. Tom Hitchcock. 281-383-2927 cell-713-254-3105

Anti-roll tanks
Tue, Sep 28, 2010 4:25 PM
Specific answers could estimate cost of determining vessel abilitiy to react to tanks, cost of design, a reccomendation of passive or active roll tanks and cost of tank, plus the go to person in the industry. Keeping in mind we have a 50' boat and a 20 ' boat budget. An unstable capt.

Re: T&T: RIB range

It does look like an estimate of 10mpg at planing speed should serve me well. I understand about the other variables. While my prop looks to be in excellent shape, I don't know its diameter or pitch. And the bottom is clean, with a black ablative bottom paint.

Gulfstar Power boat
Fri, Apr 22, 2011 9:12 PM
Estimates vary on the number of 48 MYs built--the guide cited above says 17 and the Gulfstar Owners Club says 23. Construction techniques included balsa coring in the hull sides to lighten the boat.

We estimate we lost @ .2 knots at 1850 RPM. (from 7.6 to 7.4). > If you don't ding it they cost the same to repair. > > Craig Mudge > Moon Star > KK42 #94 > Portland, Maine >

Trying to learn FPGA programming in USRP E 110
Thu, Apr 26, 2012 3:01 AM
They plan to put some USRP E110 in the field and these USRP's should perform inter-node channel estimation on their own. They asked me to learn FPGA programming in USRP. I don't have VHDL/Verilog programming experience. Therefore, I am planning to use the simulink software to run the USRP E110's?

ERROR_CODE_BAD_PACKET after resuming a flowgraph
Mon, May 12, 2014 6:33 PM
Using the C++ api, I create a flowgraph (starting with a usrp_source block) to estimate the frequency offset of an received signal, stop the flowgraph, adjust the RX center frequency of the usrp and then restart to measure the residual offset.

USRP1 frequency difference between TX+RX
Mon, Jun 16, 2014 4:47 PM
I have written code to estimate it and post-process the data to remove it prior to averaging measurements, but I would obviously prefer if it didn't exist in the first place. My flowgraph comprises only a block pulse generator and USRP Sink for transmit, and a USRP Source and scope for receive.

Rx performance degraded in TDD using X310+SBX, ATR setting or what else?
Thu, Mar 31, 2016 9:27 PM
The noise figure of 3~5dB can achieved with maximum 37.5dB Rx gain, which is indicated by the estimated SNR in my demodulation algorithm as well as the simple PSD observation. 2. When the Tx is on according to the TDD pattern. The receiver sensitivity becomes tens of dB poorer, although in the Rx slots I'm sure there is no Tx signal scheduled.
